Brief Description: An original sign from Nashville’s Broken Spoke Saloon, which was founded in 1971. The saloon famous for hosting songwriters nights, was where Tim McGraw and the Dance Hall Doctors were the house band before Tim became a household name. Daryle Singletary was discovered at the Broken Spoke by Capital Records label executive Rob Henden. Stephen M. Shutts, President of Rockology Auctions recalls hanging out at the Broken Spoke with prolific songwriter Whitey Shafer, who penned numerous songs recorded by George Strait (All My Ex’s Live In Texas), George Jones, Lefty Frizzell and Keith Whitley to name a few. Excellent condition.
