Name of Lot: Johnny Cash Gifted Tea Set to Trisha Yearwood
Brief Description Johnny and June Carter Cash gifted this antique silver tea set to Trisha Yearwood and then husband, former founding member of the Grammy Award Winning Mavericks, for their marriage in 1994. Photos show Johnny, June, Trisha and Robert in then Trisha and Robert’s driveway just outside of Cottontown, Tennessee, when the gift was delivered. An additional photo shows Trisha holding a handwritten congratulatory letter written by Johnny and June. The image of the letter accompanies this lot, but the original letter does not. Excellent condition. A most unique conversation piece. This was originally acquired by Stephen M. Shutts of Rockology Auctions, directly from Robert Reynolds, during the time period of Trisha and Robert’s divorce. COA from Johnny Cash’s Hideaway Farm and Rockology Auctions.
