Divorce documents from appointed referee, regarding Jerry Lee’s 4th marriage to Jaren Elizabeth Gunn Lewis (Pate). Dated November 20, 1980, these documents illustrate Jerry Lee’s turmultuos “rock n roll” lifestyle within in his personal life. Pate would die on June 9th, 1982 just prior to she and Jerry’s divorce proceedings. The death played out in the press as mysterious, due to the untimeliness of her drowning in a friend’s pool. These documents were found in the possessions of Dick West, Jerry Lee’s bodyguard and manager from 1963 to 1982.
